About Me
James Ramsburg is currently a PhD student and instructor in the Department of Spanish & Portuguese Studies at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. In addition, he has also worked with the Center for Advanced Research on Language Acquisition at the same institution. His research focuses on the application of various quantitative methods to study the dynamics of language contact and language acquisition, with a special focus on Spanish and Catalan. His current work centers on identifying and explaining dialectal variation, especially in the lexicon.
